Joshua David McKenney is an independent artist, designer, and dollmaker based in Los Angeles. After studying photography at the Parsons School of Design, McKenney built a successful career in fashion illustration with clients such as Mariah Carey, Elizabeth Arden, and Dolce & Gabbana. A self-taught sculptor, he set about creating Pidgin Doll, a handmade artist doll he produces himself.
